2024 Prom Information

Date: Saturday, April 20th, 2024

Time: 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Location: Hard Rock Live (6050 Universal Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32819)

 

Dress Code: semi-formal attire is required to attend Prom. Students may wear suits, dress slacks, button down shirts, dress shoes, semi-formal dresses, heels, or comfortable shoes (students are NOT allowed to be barefoot). There will be a coat check available to students at this event.

 

Senior Ticket Purchase: Hagerty High School Seniors will be able to purchase tickets between February 26th and March 3rd for $100 via MySchoolBucks. The price will increase to $120 between March 4th - March 15th. The final price increase will be $140 from March 16th - March 29th. 

 

Guest Form Submission/Ticket Purchase: This guest form will be available from February 23rd, 2024 - March 13th, 2024. The last day to purchase guest tickets will be Friday, March 29th. Guest tickets will need to be purchased in-person by the Hagerty Senior. Tickets can be purchased with cash or checks. Guest tickets are not guaranteed and will only be sold while supplies last (guest approval, does not guarantee availability or pricing).  Guest tickets may be purchased AFTER the form is approved between March 4th - March 15th for $120. Guest tickets purchased between March 25th - March 29th will cost $140.

Refunds: Ticket refunds will not be given unless there are extenuating circumstances and approved by the school. If a refund is deemed permissible, there will be a $5.00 service fee.

 

SCPS Prom Protocols

1. All attendees must show a physical or digital student ID, driver’s license, or other form of acceptable ID with a picture upon arrival to the Prom, along with their ticket receipt.

2. Formal attire is REQUIRED for all attendees.

3.  A guest is defined as: an attendee who is not a Hagerty High School Senior. Hagerty Seniors students are permitted to bring one guest per person.

4. Any student who is currently suspended (OSS only) or receives an out-of-school suspension of two or more days during the Prom week will not be allowed to attend the Prom. This situation will not warrant a refund.

5. All the rules and requirements outlined in the SCPS Student Code of Conduct apply to the Prom. Inappropriate behavior can result in consequences including, but not limited to, suspension or expulsion.

6. Guest Protocols

o Seniors are permitted to bring one date per person who would be considered a guest.

o All guests MUST fill out this HHS guest Google form application which will include parent contact info. All guest forms need to be submitted to the Google form application one week prior to the purchase of a ticket.

o Guest tickets will not be permitted to be purchased until the guest application has been approved by the school’s administration.

o Guests will not be approved to attend the Prom if they have received an Out-of-School Suspension (OSS) within the last year.

o Guests must be twenty years of age and below with the exception of a currently enrolled ESE student who is under the age of twenty-two.

o Guests with an arrest or conviction in the last year, will not be approved to attend the Prom.

7. Bag Protocols

o No bags of any kind are allowed in the Prom except 6-inch or less sized clutch.

o Any clutch brought to the Prom will be searched prior to entry.

8. Attendee Screening

o All attendees will be screened by a metal detection vendor prior to entering the Prom. 

o Any unauthorized items, including a vape, will be confiscated. Individuals found with an unauthorized item will immediately be escorted from the Prom, and if a minor, their parents will be contacted.

o SCPS students found with unauthorized items will receive disciplinary consequences on Monday upon their return to school based on the SCPS Student Code of Conduct.

9. Any attendee in possession or drugs or alcohol or found to be under the influence will be escorted out of the dance and appropriate arrangements made for their departure or any other appropriate safety action. If the attendee is a minor their parents will be contacted. SCPS students will receive disciplinary consequences on Monday upon their return to school.

10. Any attendee found with any unauthorized items, including a vape, will immediately be escorted from the Prom and the items will be confiscated. If the student is a minor, their parents will be contacted.

11. Any student or non-student who attempts to enter the Prom without a ticket shall be detained by the administration until a parent can pick up the individual (if under 18 years of age). The individual will be released to the parent and the SCPS Student Code of Conduct will be followed. Individuals who are not a student at Seminole County Public Schools will be trespassed and may be arrested.

12. Upon leaving the Prom, attendees will NOT be permitted to re-enter.
