The Work-Based Learning Experiences course provides practical, hands-on training for employability skills. These experiences focus on practicing social skills and building relationships after school.
SCPS is offering Work-Based Learning Experiences throughout Seminole County. Students will participate in a minimum of one 20-hour work-based learning experience. After completion of the first work-based learning experience, students may sign up for additional work-based learning experiences. Transportation to the work sites is not provided. Students will have to arrange their own transportation to the work site.

Hilton Orlando/Altamonte Springs
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Sample job duties performed can be laundry, food prep, dish washing, and banquet set-up.
Wonderland Gift Shoppe
Monday through Thursday
3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sample job duties performed can be packing, assembling, and labeling.
Longhorn Steakhouse, Lake Mary
Monday and Wednesday
3:00pm-7:00pm
Sample job duties performed can be food prep, dishwasher, bussing tables, and host/hostess.
